The McCrary boys started life very differently. Indeed, Billy and Benny - born December 07, 1946 - were born premature and weighed but 5 pounds apiece, proving that big things can come in small packages.

The brothers are best known for a photo of them riding mini bikes. That photo came as part of a campaign with Honda Motorcycles, a campaign that would have the brothers drive from New York to Los Angeles on mini bikes.

Traveling 100 miles a day the trip took a month. The McCrary twins made frequent stops along the way and, in the process, became famous. At once such stop in El Paso, Texas the McCrary twins met professional wrestler Gory Guerrero. Guerrero would bring Billy and Benny into the world of professional wrestling. In that world they were billed as the McGuire brothers because foreign announcers struggled with the pronunciation of McCrary. For promotional purposes Billy was reported as weighing 747 pounds and Benny 727 pounds.

Billy McCrary died on July 14, 1979 in Greater Niagara Falls, Canada. Billy McCrary was en route to Ripley's Believe it or Not! museum in Niagara Falls when he was involved in a motorcycle accident. Billy would die from injuries sustained in the crash and be buried in the Crab Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

After Billy's death Benny would become an auctioneer and pawnbroker in the Hendersonville area until his death on March 26, 2001.
